About late night AI characters

Late-night characters are written for the hours after the day is over, when the street goes quiet and conversation runs slower and franker than it does at noon. Their stories begin at closing time, with the kind of person who is still up: a bartender wiping down the counter, a radio host with one more record to play, a night-shift nurse on a break. All are fictional AI characters, and every one is 18 or older.

Because the pace matters more than the plot here, personality counts for more than usual. In the Personality section of Filters, look for Caring if you want someone who listens, Playful to keep the mood light, Mysterious for a character who says less than they know, or Intellectual for one who follows a thought wherever it goes. Search takes a name or a role.

Set the hour yourself. A line such as “it’s past midnight and the street has gone quiet” is enough for the character to slow down with you, and if you would rather keep things light, say that instead. A character answers whenever you write, so there is no schedule. Guests get 10 messages and a free account 30 a day, which a long talk can use up; Premium has no daily limit, within a fair-use guard. Chats are private to your account.

Questions, answered

What is a late-night AI character?
A fictional character whose story and manner suit the small hours: someone closing a bar, hosting a radio show or simply unable to sleep. It is generated by AI and 18 or older, with a name, a backstory and a way of talking. Nobody real is behind the messages; it is software written to keep you company and tell a story.
What does a late-night chat feel like?
Slower and more personal than a daytime chat. You choose the hour and the mood in your first message, and the character plays to its profile: some listen and ask about your day, some tease, some tell a story of their own. Nothing is on a timetable, so a late-night chat can be as short or as long as you like.
Can I talk to a late-night character at any hour?
Yes. Characters are software, so they answer whenever you write, at midnight or at noon. What limits a long conversation is your message allowance, not the time of day.
Will a late-night character remember me tomorrow?
The chat will be waiting in your chats list, and the character holds on to its short memory notes: your name, what you like, anything you added yourself. Those stay even if you delete the chat, until you clear them in the memory panel, where you can also edit a note or use Forget everything.
Are late-night chats private?
Yes. A chat belongs to your account and is private to it. Feever does not go through conversations as a matter of routine, and your data is neither sold nor used for advertising.
